Welcome to my first weblog article. I'll keep it short...
First of all, you wouldn't be reading this if it wasn't for the fine folks in our marketing department at T2 Systems. Perhaps they're hoping I'll shamelessly promote T2, or perhaps instead I've stepped up on the soapbox one too many times that they figured they'd give me a platform.
In either case they've assured me that even though they're sponsoring this forum, it's completely at arm's length from T2 and that what I write or rant is my personal opinion on any topic. They said that they will neither censor nor censure the content.
I'm not sure if I believe them.
Anyway, the topic at hand is Technology and Parking. It's a topic near and dear to my heart because I love tech-stuff, and I kind of fell into the industry of parking management by chance (it's a common joke in the parking biz that most of us fell into it by chance: "Johnny, what do you want to be when you grow up?" "Gee, Mom, I dunno. Maybe I'll seek an exciting career in Parking.")
So to finalize: I'm offering up the Parking Planet recipe... Take one part computer geek with a penchant for writing, mix in one well-intentioned, traditionally low-tech industry... Stir well. Serves 6 billion.
